Today's readong dealt with a clean heart. The passage tie in for today was Psalms 51. For in that Psalms, we hear a plead that says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me."
The readings from As Wednesday have launched us on our Lenten journey: Fast - give up whatever it takes to make room for God. Shut the door to wrestle alone with God. Now is the time; we don't know if we will have tomorrow. Because our great God is teaching out to reconcile us to himself, so that in the weeks ahead God can form you and me a clean heart - a godly heart.
The Prayer
Create in me a clean heart, O God, until I can play it by heart.
