In The Trenches

I like the following quote from Scott Bessenecker:

It is easy to cast stones from the comfort of one's limited frame of reference. But in the thick of the battle, you do what makes the most sense from the vantage point of the trences.

Too many times, we (Christians), rip apart people and ministries that we really do not know. We may disagree with their thoughts, their process and their ways .... but there may be a reason for them doing what they do.

Just thinking out loud right now .... not enough time to flush it out ... back to staff meeting preparation .... just wanted to drop it down.

Tell me what you think ?

i think that as a whole, and in generalized terms, we christians have somehow gotten the notion that we have all the answers and that the world simply move forward without soliciting our heavy handed overbearing opinions.

We aren't good with conflict and disagreement. This is because we always think we're right and they're wrong. This means we are half-hearted about conflict resolution: it is only truly resolved when we have won.
