Be A Patriot .. Vote Pro Life

First, I want to make it clear, I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE HEADLINE !!!

Here is the definition of a Patriot:
a person who loves his or her country and passionately supports its interests

So, this sign or statement, if I am reading it correctly states that if I love my country, I will vote Pro-Life.

I am going to be honest with you .....

I got sick this morning because I saw this sign at a church that I went into today. They had this sign along with voter registration cards and how to vote biblically brochures all over the place.

It made me sick.

I thought that I had walked into a political headquarter building.

I can guarantee you one thing, if I was looking for a church to attend, I would leave immediately and as a minister, I would definitely not serve on their church staff.

I saw one of these somewhere, too, and had the same reaction. Gag reflex.

Wow, we agree on something political :)

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Yet from the moment you typed your post.... to the moment I type my response (9 days) just about 35,000 completely innocent lives were taken. As a Christian, why isn't this a deal-breaker with the dems....? Leaves me dumb-founded.

FYI: I do disagree with the tactic. The sign is not an effective means of communicating your point. Too divisive.

anonymous:

the sign is divisive and who knows how many people have now built up a wall and will not come back to church or be concerned about having a reltionship with Christ because of what they saw ...

it could be very sad that the church could be the reason people walk away from Christ's invitation

i will get back to you on the aborted babies comment later

I love this social statement:

The church's role in society begins long before and extends far beyond legislative regulation. It seeks to shape attitudes and values that affirm people in whatever circumstances they find themselves.

Its pastoral care, compassionate outreach, and life-sustaining assistance are crucial in supporting those who bear children, as well as those who choose not to do so. Through these and other means the people of God seek to be truly supportive of life.
