Pancake Supper: Mardi Gras Style

Last night, we had a Pancake Supper at our church. The youth and their parents put on the dinner for the church members and community. We tied the Fat Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday) in with Mardi Gras.

We, the youth, are headed to New Orleans; so we thought that it would be very appropriate. We had jazz music playing in the background half of the time and a life jazz ensemble half the time.

For us, we had a good turnout. Over 200 people came out during the night and we made about 1,000 pancakes and 800 sausage links. Here are some photos from the event. Since this is a "personal" blog; most of the pics will be of our family.

It was a fun event. We had a great time and the parents who took charge of the event did an amazing job and made the night a HUGE SUCCESS. We not only had a blast but we raised enough money to cover the hotel cost ( 3 hotel rooms - 4 nights ) for our trip.

THANK YOU
