In 3 days, I head off to Panama City Beach, Florida with 16 students and 4 other adults. We will be at camp with 1500 other individuals. The drive down will be a little long, at times it may be a little chaotic / hectic (especially the first few hours there) but I NEED THIS.
I am looking forward to incredible worship. I am looking forward to hearing the messages on "rhythm" and where this will lead. I am looking forward to some time at the beach and at the pool. I am looking forward to some time to "de-compress".
Yes, it is a camp for the teens but I am looking forward to getting some things for my soul. It needs the extra touch and I think this week will do it.
From a ministry standpoint, I am looking forward to "watching" the students interact with God. I am looking forward to small group time and seeing how they are "debreifing" their camp experience.
This camp is a great way to start off the summer.
